The Government of Andhra Pradesh is in a hurry to lay the foundation stone at Visakhapatnam in the execution of their three capital concept. The Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has insisted officials to move a petition seeking a stay order on the orders issued by High Court of Andhra Pradesh. Earlier, the High Court of Andhra Pradesh has ordered the Government of Andhra Pradesh to maintain status-quo regarding the shifting of offices from Amaravati to Visakhapatnam responding to the petition filed by the Farmers of Amaravati.
The status-quo is in effect and it will be lapsed as on 14th August, but there is a chance of extension of it by the High Court of Andhra Pradesh. Keeping that in view, the Government of AP has moved to Supreme Court seeking a stay order on the status-quo order of High Court. They have expected the hearings on it on Monday, which did not happen. But, not leaving it for the time course, the Government of AP has again written a letter to the Registrar General of Supreme Court requesting to take up the petition earliest as they have scheduled the foundation stone laying program on 16th August at Visakhapatnam.
Everybody is surprising over the confidence levels of the Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy in seeking the Supreme Court to take up the issue earliest, so that he can lay the foundation stone at Visakhapatnam for Executive Capital.
